Georgia Highlands College's Physical Education Department, Human Resource Department, and Intramurals, invite you to join us in jumpstarting the New Year by participating in the first phase (Fitness) of our Charger Wellness Program. The program is open to current GHC students, faculty, and staff.
The overall goal of the wellness program is to engage the mind, body and spirit of each participant resulting in reduced health risk factors, improved overall well-being, and a productive, active, student body and work force. By encouraging Chargers to live healthier lifestyles, we hope to see energy levels enhanced resulting in even greater success in the classroom, as well as happiness and productivity in the workplace.
The first phase of the program includes a variety of activities designed to get you on your way to fitness while earning program points. The points can be entered in monthly drawings to win gift cards. Each month, members that accumulate 20 points, or more, win one of the two gift cards to venues that promote good health. Participants that stay with the program and acquire at least 75 points before May 1st will be entered for the chance to win one of the 4 gift cards. In addition to the chance to win gift cards, the first 50 members to reach 50 points will win a GHC wellness t-shirt. The faculty/staff member with the highest number of points will be honored at in-service, in the fall, while the student that accumulates the most points will be honored at a varsity athletic competition in the 2013-2014 season.
